Wall of History: The Skybound Update, Coming Soon!

Wall of History: The Skybound Update Announcement Trailer

Hey everyone! 810NICLE Day 2022 is coming up, so that means it’s about time to announce Wall of History’s next update — the Skybound Update. This is our biggest update ever, so big we had to split it into two parts. Part One will release on July 10th, 2022, and Part Two will release on 810NICLE Day 2022.

Part One of the Skybound Update will feature the most significant changes to the Wall of History front end yet, making the site more informative and interactive than ever before. We don’t want to spoil too much, as the updated site is now undergoing a month of internal testing at Mask of Destiny (to make sure everything is just right), but we can tell you that virtually every aspect of the site has been reworked or upgraded, and almost all user requests from the last year have been addressed. Most noticeable for all of you will likely be the upgraded reference integration — Part One of Skybound will bring us a big step closer to completing one of our most-requested projects, that being the addition of all guidebook material to the site (as well as preserved reference material from BIONICLE.com).

Part Two of the Skybound Update will continue our Flash restoration project announced at the start of this year — we’ll be releasing more restored chapters of Mata Nui: The Online Game, as well as the Wall of History animations in their original Flash format. We also hope to share a roadmap for further Flash additions with this update, as we refine our process and learn more about working with Flash.

We’re very excited to finally be releasing these updates, and hope you’re excited to see them. Be sure to keep an eye on the Wall of History Twitter for the latest news, and join our Discord server if you’ve got any feedback or suggestions you’d like us to hear. Thanks for reading!

The song used in the above trailer is “When We Fall We Go Further” by SuddenlyOranges. The stinger at the end was edited by Vahkiti. Our promo art for this update, visible below in its full glory, was drawn by Chip Wiseman.
