MoD Contest: Heroes To The Core!

I’ll try not to say the H word without a good excuse from here on, but I make no promises. If any of you have watched “Hero Factory, Rise Of The Rookies”, you’d know that the characters’ cores play a significant role in the story. On top of being their source of power, it is said that each hero owes part of his or her uniqueness and personality to tier specific core, and in the event a core transplant is needed, the hero would never be the same again, which is why in part they call themselves “Heroes to the core!”

For this contest, you are tasked with building a Hero themed after the Hero Factory Universe.

Requirements:

*Your MOC (My Own Creation) will need to be a Hero
*Your Hero must have a Hero Core
*Your hero will need a name.
*You will need to tell us a little about your hero.

Notes for judging:

*You don’t have to have an actual Hero Core element from a Hero Factory set, you can build a custom core.
*Your core should be visible in some way, or otherwise play a significant part in the design of your creation.
*Removable cores would be cool, though not necessary.
*Consider building a unique head or helmet for your hero, since helmets also play a role in this world.
*Consider having an H on the torso or somewhere on the body, as this is evident in most hero sets.
*Consider keeping him somewhere between matoran and toa size.
* These judging notes are simply here as guidelines, while I will encourage the judges to look for these, all you really need is to have a hero who has a core, don’t let any lack of ability to build your creation to these guidelines discourage you from entering. Just don’t forget to give him a bit of personality when you describe your creation.

To Enter:

You will need an account on our forums to enter, if you do not have one, you can sign up here . Then you will need to make a topic in our MOC section and post the pictures and description of your creation there. Be sure to post a link to your entry in the entry and discussion topic to make sure we see it and register it in the contest.

Prize:

One entrant will be selected for first place, and this entrant will receive one of the smaller Hero Factory sets, or otherwise something on LEGO Shop At Home worth no more than $9.99 USD (United States Dollar). Your region must be able to receive an order from LEGO.com’s shopping site, as I will be ordering directly through the LEGO Company and their distributors to ship the winner’s prize. I will be paying the sales tax and shipping on my end, so you should not have to pay any taxes on your end. If your government should charge you any additional taxes, I will not be responsible for paying them. Likewise I will not pay any additional fees for your local post office to get the prize to you, but this all should be avoided by my ordering your prize through The LEGO Company.

Rules:

*All ages may enter this contest, but if you are under the age of 18, you will need your parent or guardian’s permission to give out your address in order to receive the prize.
*Only one creation may be entered per person.
*Your creation should not have any non-LEGO elements, and none of the elements that comprise your creation should be modified (To be specific, you are not allowed to cut parts, or to glue them together).
*Your creations MAY BE MODIFIED after they have been posted on the forums, but all modifications MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE DEADLINE. This is intended to give you time to work on, discuss, and adjust your creations with the input of your peers. Entries should not be modified during the judging and voting phase.
*The official deadline to enter or finish modifications to your entry is 12am, January 1st by East Coast time in the United States.
*If you place first and the new Hero Factory sets are not yet available to ship to your region, I can either wait for them to become available in your region, or ship a different prize worth no more than $9.99 USD as an alternative.
*By entering you give use permission to save photos and descriptions of your creation onto our servers, unless you otherwise specify that you do not want us to. If you want the photos and descriptions of your creation removed from our server, we will do our best to remove them in a timely manner.
**I reserve the right to modify these rules at any time. I hope to only use this right in the event someone tries to exploit a loophole.
**This contest is not sponsored by The LEGO Company, it is however based on their products, and when I say I am ordering the prize directly through TLC, I am ordering through the same means any other customer could use.
