LEGO® Ideas Round Up #2

Please toss me an email or post a link to your project on our forums if you’s like me to feature it in the next round-up! I’ve included the contents of Round Up #1 which cant seem to make up it’s mind if it’s visible to the public or not.

Round Up #2

TREADHEAD walking armor

A four legged Sci-Fi walking tank that uses a number of interesting building techniques. It looks like it would be at home in any futuristic war zone.

Pneumatic Hand Prothesis ( Technic )

I don’t think the design is actually practical to use as a real prosthetic, but I love the design and complexity.

Nuclear Throne – Plant

I have not played the game or even seen the character it is deigned after, but I like the design and would buy 2 if I saw it on the shelf.

Uupgipter – Data Beacon Droid

Another four legged robot, but a completely different style. I love the lankiness of the design.

Terraria: The Jungle

Terraria is a 2D randomly generated side scrolling game comparable to a mashup of Mincecraft and Metroid. I’ve got 650+ hours logged into the steam version alone. I’d love to see a series of interlocking panels representing the different biomes, plus it would fit great in my cramped room. The jungle is not my favorite biome, but this is the best Terraria project I’e seen on LEGO® Ideas yet.

From Round Up #1

K-18 The Big Idea

A giant yellow robot that looks like it could be a mech suit. Its hard to make out with the 2MB picture size limit, but what I can see is amazing.

Kaijuron

Another large creation, it looks like a lizard with cannons on it’s back. It has a great selection of BIONICLE and technic pieces. It takes after the Kardas Dragon, but looks a whole lot cooler.

Machine Gun Bot

A minifigure mech suit that looks smooth, for a lack of better vocabulary. It really puts the old Exo Force series to shame.

Zack the Wolf Mech

Its not the kind of mech a figure can ride in, it’s a straight BIONICLE style of wolf, combining CCBS and BIONICLE elements. He does a great job of breaking the creature down section by section so you can understand what your looking at. Be sure to check out the updates, where he shows off a number of alternate colors. It looks great in purple.

Bionicle Tahu’s Arrival

Last but far from least. At first I thought it looked kind of dopey, but upon checking it out in detail, it’s really well thought out. A few minifigures, a rock, and a canister that make for a nostalgic look at BIONICLE’s origins. The scenic rock actually opens up to turn from simple scenery into a hiding place for a gold mask.
