These KANOHI are RURU and MATATU masks in TOA colors red, blue, green, white and brown. In addition to the ones pictured there are also black versions, though the black RURU is available in the Power Pack.

Rumor has it that these masks as well as two other variants that as yet have not appeared on U.S. shores were to be found in European first release Mask Packs #8530. The two additional variants are transparent KAUKAU in yellow and light blue. Pictures of these masks have been seen on various websites AND they are listed on the BIONICLE™ website mask checklist.

It remains to be seen if these masks will ever appear domestically. Until we know for sure it makes for a vexing mystery. Many mask collectors are sure to feel left out if they are not released here. Stay tuned, we hope to have more info on this one way or another soon.
