BIONICLE Books for the Holidays

Tahu from the Bionicle Stars line.

We’ve had a bunch of lovely book contributions from different people over the last few months, and I’ve finally rounded them all up as a Christmas Eve treat.

Journey’s End

First off, Gonel brings us scans of the coveted physical print of the final novel, Journey’s End. Ameet only ever published it locally in Polish, but it has some cool art that they seem to have produced just for the occasion, which you can see a taste of in the header above.

Barraki 1

Mr N continues his great work, bringing us scans of the Russian version of Barraki 1, another Ameet original. This activity book has some interesting art interspersed with the puzzles. You can see how serious Ameet was about the lore, including a section running through a history including Makuta and Metru Nui.

Mahri 1

Complimenting the Barraki book, we have Mahri 1 in its original Polish, provided by Mid Blue. Can you spot the weird prototype Matoro mask?

BIONICLE Collector’s Sticker Book

BIONICLE Encyclopedia

Papercutz Volume 9: The Fall of Atero

Chad Ordway has kindly sent all three of these our way – Scholastic’s one and only attempt at a BIONICLE activity book, the 2006 Encyclopedia with its exclusive Birth of a Dark Hunter story, and the 9th volume of the Papercutz trade paperbacks. It’s great to have these gaps in the archive filled.

Glatorian #1 – Toys R Us DK Version

From Planetperson’s image archive, here is the version of Glatorian comic 1 that was given out at Toys R Us stores in Denmark. The cover art is an interesting version of the Glatorian key visual…

Better Glatorian #6 and #7

Our scans of the final two BIONICLE comics were in pretty rough shape. Someone cleaned them up into these much nicer versions, but I didn’t note down who it was… in any case, they did great work here. No more Dutch angle pages!

That wraps up all the gifts we have for you today! Thank you to everyone that contributed their time to sending in these books. BMP wouldn’t be what it is without the work of you and everyone else that has helped maintain it.

Happy holidays!

    • Nice! I think JSLBrowning over at Wall of History is gearing up for very high-res scans of these 09-10 issues, so I’m hoping we’ll be able to have much improved scans in the not too distant future…
