BIONICLE® Maze Of Shadows hits stores!

I’m not going to go too far into a review, especially with spoilers and not playing more than a half an hour. The intro gives you a decent storyline while the animations are somewhat lazily done. As the toa talked you could tell those who worked on the game did their homework, the characters spoke (…oh ok, so it’ written out in text but you know what I mean.) as you would expect them too. The opening cinematic gives you the option to pause, a handy feature I should have used, the frames went by before I could finish reading some of them, and as MATAU spoke I was reading too quickly to see if they worked in his tree speech for added story accuracy.

The game-play is an overhead view and as you start out your new enemy/ally (the Karzahni) guides you through some basic instructions in case you didn’t actually read the manual, though I suggest you give that a quick look over before playing.

As you play you will see that each toa’s powers are tied into the game rather nicely, for instance activating Vakama’s mask makes you invisible to enemies, as well as random battles, while Onewa can scale walls with his proto pitons, and use his mind control to posses nearby rahi. You get to use all six toa one at a time, teleporting them out and in as you use them and their unique abilities. Another interesting feature is how you get to use remove poison disks to…well…remove a poison status and a regeneration disk to heal a toa’s “stun points”, basically their health points.

That’s all I can say for now, but any questions or comments Id be happy to try and answer in this .

  1. […] BIONICLE? Maze Of Shadows hits stores!Posted by Richard on September 18, 2005 at 07:49 PM CST:As BZPower noted, Maze Of Shadows was hitting stores a little later than expected. Why you ask? With most games the release date is the day the games ship to the stores from the manufacturer (A day or two after being when they place the game on the shelf), those who ordered the game from Nintendo directly would likely get it a day earlier than the stores. Either way, I just picked up my copy of Maze Of Shadows from my local Walmart, still no sign of the TOA HAGAH two pack though. For more please read the Details! […]
