Ameet Books
The publisher Ameet is one of the lesser-sung heroes of BIONICLE’s back half. Makuta’s Guide to the Universe and Mata Nui’s Guide to Bara Magna were both published by them, after Scholastic began losing confidence in BIONICLE and pulled back on publishing guidebooks. They also made a lot more than just those two guides! Ameet’s editors were meticulous and skilled, producing some very pretty books that hewed exactingly to LEGO’s style guides, and made great use of the art assets provided by Advance (and even making their own art beginning in 2009 !). While they collaborated closely with Greg Farshtey for continuity and consistency, they are also one of the only sources to have published story content separate to him after 2006 – which frequently meant the character info they put out was taken straight from story bibles.
Courtesy of Gilahu, we now have Makuta’s Guide in German, adding to the English and Polish versions we’ve already had available. But the main course today are a slate of new scans of Ameet’s smaller books:
- Phantoka Makuta in Polish (from krussy)
- Mistika Makuta in Polish (from Mid Blue)
- Glatorian I in Polish (from Mid Blue)
- Glatorian II in Polish (improved scans, from Mid Blue)
- Glatorian III in Polish (from Mid Blue)
- Glatorian V in German (from Gilahu)
Adding these on to the current archive, the only Ameet books we are now missing are Barraki II and Glatorian VI. Maybe someday…
Even if you don’t speak any of these languages, I recommend checking these books out if you’re interested in BIONICLE graphic design. They’re a treat!

So, this is how many AMEET books you have, eh? Well, let me tell you two things:
1. BionicleSector01 has that story called “The Crossing” from all six of the Glatorian books. Do the other books have stories like this?
2. There are also Hero Factory ones (“To Serve and Protect” and “Galaxy’s Most Wanted” in 2010). No one posted them in HEROSector01 (BS01’s sister wiki that like Donkey Kong to Mario). They are like the only things missing in HS01 (other than the game codes).
I live in the United States, so that’s why I asked these questions. Hope we can have the chances to get all of these books. I’ll look into the stuff that you posted in this article. 🙂
Hi Lenny! These other books don’t have stories like The Crossing – just character bios, games, and sometimes short summaries of the story in the novels by Greg Farshtey.
We haven’t expanded into Hero Factory content quite yet but I’d like to someday!
