MoD reader ZDigiToaIM writes in to say that the next PROTO SQUAD mailing has arrived, though this one appears to be an unscheduled mailing. The enclosed letter reveals that the BIONICLE™ shoes were underproduced for now, and while they will become available eventually, they didn’t want the PROTO SQUAD members to keep waiting for them to arrive. Instead, they have mailed out $50 gift certificates that can be redeemed through LEGO® S&H for shoes (when they become available) or, well, pretty much anything else (hey, six PS members could actually band together and nab that cool UCS Imperial Star Destroyer).
