The Time Has Come...
Posted by Purple_Dave on May 1, 2002 at 12:01 AM CST:
I've long been thinking it would be a good idea to have a catalog of all the different MATORAN characters that can be seen in the MNOLG, so I've set about harvesting screen-caps of every unique MATORAN that I could find. Of course, the next thing to do is figure out which ones can be built using existing parts and without resorting to paint. After checking all of my screen-caps, I realized that I had almost enough to fill out an entire month.

Throughout the month of May, I will be posting one new MATORAN each day. I do not consider these to be MOCs for the same reason I don't consider my TURAGA NUI instructions to be a MOC. All I did was use LEGOŽ parts to copy someone else's concept. Of course, there aren't quite enough to finish the entire month, so I will be throwing in a very small handful of true MOCs to pick up the slack.

Incidentally, I've had a lot of fun following all of the speculation. These guys came up with all of the basic aspects of the surprise, but never quite managed to put them together. Of course, now that they know exactly what it's all about, the next question is whether they'll be able to figure out each MATORAN before I post it...
