TOA Buy Or Not TOA Buy
Posted by Purple_Dave on March 1, 2002 at 09:07 PM CST:
MoD readers Manuel Suazo and Nicole Drumm wrote in to point out that stores everywhere, including the LEGOŽ S@H catalog and online store, have increased the price on the TOA from $6.99 to $7.99.

Since then, I've noticed that the local Wal-Mart has restocked them at their old price of $6.88 (remember, Wal-Mart knocks a few cents off the price so they can legally claim to have the lowest prices) though they only restocked once, and I don't know if that will hold true the next time they do so, or if any other Wal-Mart stores will do the same.

I also noticed, just today, that my local Target, which bumped the Toa up to $7.99, has placed Price Cut tags over the adjusted prices, and marked them down to $6.89. There wasn't any indication of whether this will happen nationwide, or how long it will last.

Mod reader Davec234 wrote in to say that the LEGOŽ Store in Chicago is selling everything at a lower price than any of the other stores in town, while MoD reader DragonMaster2050 wrote in saying that the LEGOŽ Imagination Center in Anaheim is having a 'Buy Two, Get One Free' deal on the TOA. Neither was able to indicate whether the rest of the LEGOŽ storefronts are offering the same deals. To see if you're lucky enough to live near one of the seven LEGOŽ storefronts, check here.
