Way back in October, we brought you pics of two MANAS that were very different from the ones on your local store shelves. ( Article 1 , Article 2 ) In the last couple weeks we’ve been getting a bunch of e-mails pointing out that these pics are displayed on lots of ‘.com’ stores. Since I had not yet heard of anyone receiving one of these ‘grabby-claw’ MANAS, I could only assume that they were protoype designs that were scrapped in favor of the 2001 MANAS. Today I got confirmation from Leah that those are early prototype designs that were never produced. Evidentally some photos of them were accidentally sent out for promotional purposes.
