For the most part, this comic echoes what we saw with the script and artwork drafts in the TOA NUVA press kit , but there are a few significant changes. One of them was expected, since it was noted on the artwork draft, which is that LEWA was replaced by GALI on Page 3 . However, on Page 5 , KOPAKA ends up replacing TAHU, who moves more into the background.
LEWA NUVA was miscolored as TAHU NUVA in the lower three panels on Page 9 , which you can tell because each panel shows just enough of the MIRU NUVA to identify it as such. Most importantly, however, is that two completely new pages were added between Pages 11 & 12 . The way those two new pages lays out makes me suspect that they were expecting to place two more filler pages in this issue, and ended up needing to add two more pages of story. In this issue there are only four filler pages. The first is the inside front cover, which provides the exposition. The second and third are a center two-page spread that shows images and descriptions of the TOA NUVA. The last is the inside of the back cover, which is an ad for BIONICLE.com, including, yet another mention of the errant BATTLE FOR MATA NUI game.

Also of note is that on the back of the comic, there are descriptions of the six KANOHI NUVA, but the images for PAKARI NUVA and MIRU NUVA were switched. The descriptions are as follows:

PAKARI NUVA: THE GREAT MASK OF STRENGTH
Increases the strength of the user and those around him to its ultimate.

KAKAMA NUVA: THE GREAT MASK OF SPEED
Allows the user and those nearby to move at great speed and pass through solid objects without harm.

MIRU NUVA: THE GREAT MASK OF LEVITATION
Allows the user and those close by to soar into the air and reach amazing heights.

HAU NUVA: THE GREAT MASK OF SHIELDING
Provides the user and those around him protection against the most powerful attacks, but not against strikes from ambush.

KAUKAU NUVA: THE GREAT MASK OF WATER
Allows the user to breathe underwater for an unlimited time, even at great depths.

AKAKU NUVA: THE GREAT MASK OF X-RAY VISION
Allows the user and those close by to see through walls and discover that which is concealed by physical means or illusion.
