MATA NEW-I

The MATA NUI online game has been updated again, but not with a new story chunk. It has been tweaked to get rid of a few errors, but at least one of the changes is rather confusing.

The first thing I noticed is that my saved game has stopped reverting to the point right before I started the LE-KORNAN episode, which is cool. As fun as the KAHU game is, I have gotten rather sick of losing the second Flute song and having to walk all over the island to get anywhere I want to go. I’d still like to see the POHATU and KAHU games posted somewhere so they can be played outside of the online game, but that’s another story.

The next thing I noticed is that the last four time-codes on the telescope calander have been changed. Previously, the second-to-last and third-to-last codes were identical. That would basically require the red star to be in two different constellations at the same time, and I doubt that is going to happen. Some of the time-codes point to earlier event dates and others point to later event dates. Of particular note, the earlier code for the final event would have pegged it as taking place on Christmas at 2pm EST, but now it should occur on New Year’s Day.

The final noticeable change is that the last event on the calander has new artwork. It looks sort of like a half-melted rock monster, whereas previously it showed the big MAKUTA head turned sideways and looking at the island of MATA NUI.
