Invading A Computer Near You…

First of all, like the Desktop TOA, Mac users are out of luck, as this is a PC-only program. Secondly, this program seems a lot more user-friendly than the Desktop TOA, as each BOHROK has the same number of actions, and they are all accessed in the exact same ways. MoD reader Tarema pointed out that you can click on their heads and hands, but you can also click on their feet. Sometimes that last one gets a bit tricky, though. Oh yeah, and no codes this time. It’s probably a good thing because a number of fans would have some or all of them figured out within a few hours of downloading the program, and within a day they’d be posted all over the internet, just like they were with the Desktop TOA codes.

BOHROK Pods

You start out with a cluster of seven BOHROK pods. One is in the center, and the other six are in a circle around it. The center pod has three characters from the BIONICLE™ alphabet. The upper one (a circle with one dot in the lower right) is a ‘Q’, and closes the program. The lower left one (a circle with two parallel vertical lines and two dots between them) is an ‘H’, and the lower right one (a circle with two parallel vertical lines and no dots) is an ‘M’. Both the ‘H’ and the ‘M’ will send you to the Desktops page , so one of them is probably not working correctly right now.

If you move your mouse cursor over any of the other six pods, they will reveal which BOHROK is nestled inside. Clicking on any of them will launch that particular BOHROK.

TAHNOK

TAHNOK is in the topmost pod. When you select him, he slams down from the upper left corner of your screen in a ball of flame. From there he proceeds to march around the border of your screen with a trail of flame behind him. He will half-heartedly avoid your cursor, but other than that he doesn’t do anything on his own, except sometimes he’ll stand still.
UPDATE: MoD reader Shadowcat wrote in to point out that TAHNOK will actually follow your cursor, not avoid it. It does seem to be the case, but he’ll only follow it if it’s really close to him.

You can grab him with your mouse, and he’ll wave his arms and legs around a bit in protest. Like the HAU TAHU, you can fling him around the screen and he’ll bounce off of the surfaces with little wavy force-lines.

Clicking on his head will make him snap his head forward, and then shoot a blue flame out of his hand, which will ignite a patch of ‘ground’ in front of him.

Clicking on his hand will make him shoot a jet of blue flame out of his hand like when you click his head, but this time it won’t actually hit anything.

Clicking on his feet will make him erupt into a ball of fire…and then walk around some more.

None of the click-actions seem to be available when he’s not at the bottom of your screen.

Double-click him and he’ll drop to the bottom of the screen (if he’s not already there), vanish into a ball of flame, and a smaller ball will shoot to the top of your screen before the pods return.

NUHVOK

NUHVOK is in the lowermost pod. When you select him, a little pile of earth will across the bottom of your screen from the right side, and when it gets just past center, NUHVOK will burrow out. (If you’ve ever watched Bugs Bunny tunneling, it looks a lot like that.) NUHVOK will also march around the border of your screen (a little slower than TAHNOK), followed by a few random chunks of earth, but he will completely ignore your cursor.

You can grab him, and he’ll squirm a bit (differently from TAHNOK) and when you release him, he’ll fly over to either the left or right side of your screen, burrow into it, and burrow out where he first entered. You can’t throw him, however…at least not effectively.

Click on his head and he’ll snap his head forward, then jump to the top of the screen and burrow into it. Then you’ll get the Bugs Bunny effect going around your screen until he gets to the bottom, where he’ll eventually burrow out again.

Click his hand and he’ll do a jackhammer attack with it while walking forward.
UPDATE: MoD reader Shadowcat wrote in to point out that if you do this while he is almost to the side of the screen, he’ll punch his way through the ‘wall’ and emerge on the opposite side.

Click his feet and he’ll burrow into the bottom of your screen, and you’ll get the Bugs Bunny effect going back and forth on the bottom for a while until he burrows back out.

Again, none of the click-actions work unless he’s at the bottom of your screen.

Double-click on him and he’ll drop to the bottom of your screen (if he’s not already there) burrow into the bottom of your screen and the pods will return.

PAHRAK

PAHRAK is in the lower left pod. Select him and he’ll drop…um…like a rock…bounce a few times, and unroll. He’ll very slowly plod around the bottom of your screen (no climbing for this guy!) and a small cloud of dust will follow him. PAHRAK will also ignore your cursor.

Okay, now this one is really funny. You can pick him up, but not for long. You’ll get a few thrummy sounds, and then he’ll drop back to the bottom of the screen, regardless of whether you let him go or not. Oh, and this one doesn’t squirm at all. However, you can throw him, and he’ll roll up into a ball and bounce very solidly from any screen borders that he may hit before he comes to a standstill.

Click on his head and he’ll snap it forward, then hover up from the bottom of the screen and drop back down.

Click on his hand and he’ll hover forward a bit and semi-circular energy lines will pulse out from his chest.
UPDATE: MoD reader Shadowcat wrote in to point out that if you do this while he is almost to the side of the screen, chunks of rock will fall off the side of your screen.

Click on his feet and he’ll do a couple ‘Sumo wrestler’ stomps and then kick a small rock a very short distance.

Double-click him and he’ll zip over to the lower right of your screen and bash his way through the ‘wall’, followed by the return of the pods.

GAHLOK

GAHLOK is in the lower right pod. Select her and she’ll float out from the right of your screen and unroll. She’ll swim back and forth across the middle of your screen, doing a ball-shaped kick-flip at each side. Each pass across the screen she gets a tiny bit lower until she gets to the bottom, where she’ll roll into a ball and just sit there. A lot. Possibly until you do something to her. She also ignores your cursor.

You can grab her, and she’ll roll up and spin very fast. When you release her she’ll drop towards the bottom of your screen, unroll, and start swimming again. You can throw her, and she’ll bounce off the edges of the screen a bit, then unroll and start swimming again.

Click on her head and she’ll snap it forward, roll up into a ball, spin a bit, and then go back to swimming.

Click on her hand and she’ll shoot a jet of water forward (moving backward at the same time) and then go back to swimming.

Click on her feet (which is quite hard) and she’ll swim…faster.

Double-click her and she’ll roll up into a ball and shoot to the top of your screen, followed by the return of the pods.

LEHVAK

LEHVAK is in the upper right pod. Select him and he’ll roll out from the left of your screen, unroll, and jump to a standing position. He’ll walk around the bottom of your screen, occassionally turning into a ball, rolling a bit, unrolling and jumping to a standing position again. Like PAHRAK, he doesn’t seem to care for the sides of your screen, which is kinda weird, since he’s the BOHROK of Air. He also ignores your cursor.

Pick him up and he’ll gyrate his arms and legs. Let him go and he’ll drop to the bottom of your screen, then shoot a burst of green goo out just before he hits bottom to make a nice ‘soft’ landing pad. You can throw him, but he doesn’t bounce. Instead he shoots a sticky pad of goo that causes him to stick. Then he’ll jump back down to the bottom of your screen and make another landing pad of goo.

Click on his head and he’ll shoot a spray of goo on the glass of your screen. He does not snap his head forward.

Click on his hand and he’ll shoot a spray of acid goo at the screen behind him, which will then eat through your desktop and show you the ‘circuitry’ behind it.

Click on his feet and he’ll shoot a spray of acid goo in front of his feet, jump into the hole that it creates, then pop up from a different location.

Double-click him and he’ll shoot a spray of acid goo in front of his feet, roll into a spinning ball, drop through the hole (slam-dunk!) and the pods will return.

KOHRAK

KOHRAK is in the upper right pod. Select him and a big hunk of ice will fall to the bottom of your screen, break open, and he’ll jump out. This one will walk around (on a small patch of ice) climb the sides of your screen (not walk up them) flip upside down and walk across the top of the screen, and then climb quickly down the other side.

Pick him up and he’ll turn into a block of ice until you drop him. Same thing as the entry from there. Throw him against a wall and the block will break open and he’ll just drop to the bottom of the screen again. No bouncing at all.

Click on his head and he’ll snap his head forward, do a back-flip (rolled into a ball), and then jump backwards a bit more.

Click on his hand and he’ll shoot a snowball forward.

Click on his feet and he’ll do a couple ice-skating thrusts, cause a spray of ice to shoot forward, jump over a small snowdrift (hey, where’d that come from?) and then come to a sliding stop worthy of a professional skater. Then he’ll start walking again.

Double-click him and he’ll roll into a ball, around which a block of ice will form. Then the block will crumble into nothingness (Poof! He’s gone!) and the pods will return.

BOHROK vs. TOA

Bad TAHU! He just ignores the BOHROK that has infested your computer. And the BOHROK ignores him right back. These programs are not designed to interact, so don’t expect a huge epic-scale Battle Of The Ages between these two little inch-high characters. It’s not going to happen.
