So you really want to fit ONUA and POHATU in the EXO-TOA. I still stand by what I said in my review. It is impossible to properly seat either ONUA or POHATU in the EXO-TOA without modifying either the pilot or the EXO.

I got responses telling me how it was possible to do this, and all you had to do was modify ONUA and POHATU so they had a standardized torso and neck construction. (Remember what I said about not being able to do this without modifying something?) If that’s what makes you happy, hey, they’re your toys, not mine. However, I must point out that there are no official instructions for how to do this, so officially, they still don’t fit. Removing the large external gear assembly from POHATU falls into this same category.

I also got people telling me that they’d managed to stuff an unmodified ONUA inside. Yes, it’s technically possible, but everything gets pressed in unusually tight, so if you choose to go this route, don’t be surprised if (read: when) parts of your EXO-TOA start breaking. I wouldn’t put money on the pieces making it through a full year of this sort of abuse without at least some sort of permanent damage.

Anyways, these are the results of my own investigation. If ONUA is properly seated inside this thing, the chest armor prevents his head from being fully attached to his neck. In fact, I couldn’t get his head to do anything but rest lightly on the tip of his neck-post. Of course, this is with him properly seated, with the orange nub plugged into the hole on his pelvis.

Now, if you don’t care about having him seated according to the official design, you can always have him perch on top of the orange nub…but that lifts him up so high that his toes can barely touch the footpads, and a large section of ONUA’s chest is unprotected by the chest armor.

Same deal for POHATU, but he’s got to be high enough for his gear assembly to fit where it was originally intended. In other words, even more of his chest peeks out above the chest armor (at least half of it) and even with the SuperToes, he can barely touch the footpads with the tips of his feet.
