Flame On!

Just like with the TOA and TURAGA, the red Fire BOHROK is the one most prominently displayed on promotional material. In fact, as Pat Brett pointed out, the images on the front of the NUHVOK and LEHVAK pods show herds of TAHNOK in the background. Basically, this is the first breed that most people will think of when someone mentions the word ‘BOHROK’.

I have to say that I’m disappointed in the color scheme. It’s the most wide-ranging color scheme in the entire line, with a body consisting of red, black, and orange parts, white teeth, blue eyes and KRANA, light grey brainpan, and that familiar bright green rubber band strapped around the back of the head. I would have been much happier to see yellow or orange used for the eyes/KRANA, and I really would have liked to see a non-green rubber band used for TAHNOK, GAHLOK, and KOHRAK. On the plus side, I loved the flame detail on TAHU’s sword and VAKAMA’s staff, and I really like how the same style of flame was incorporated into a more brutish looking hand-shield for use on TAHNOK.

Of course, the thing I currently like the most about TAHNOK is something which you won’t find in the instruction booklet…but maybe I should just let you see for yourself. Compare the two images below:
