In the BIONICLE™ story, there’s really only one evil character to be found, and that’s MAKUTA. Since he hasn’t been made into an official set, the only bad guys we have are poor confused creatures who are being controlled against their will. It’s a LEGO® thing. They don’t like to promote violence, and killing is right out. That’s why the BIONICLE™ characters don’t do anything to each other beyond knocking off MASKS. Well, that’s a very noble ideal for the LEGO® guys to have, and I actually respect them for it. It’s part of what makes them the all-around coolest toy company in the world, but that doesn’t mean it’s always what the consumers want.
I built my INFECTED TAHU custom as a simple ‘What If?’ exercise. It was basically my idea of what TAHU would look like if he had the misfortune to stick an INFECTED MASK on his noggin. The guys at Bionicle Zone Forum are taking it one step further. They’re working on a group of DARK TOA with designs that are loosely based on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and they’re looking for any suggestions, input, help, or designs that you guys can offer them.
