Brian from the LEGO® PR department sent in this little tidbit. The symbols for the TOA NUVA (linked above) are apparently not just pretty pictures. They will play an important role in the first adventure of the TOA NUVA and could be the most powerful tools on MATA NUI. Unfortunately we don’t know any specifics yet about how they will fit into the story.
