And One Who Redeems

I first hinted at this one in my BOHROK VA review on December 25th, when the white MATORAN feet finally became available. I don’t remember exactly when I built him, but I did take him with me to Toy Fair, where I showed him to Leah, Colin, and a few other LEGO® employees that I had the wonderful opportunity to meet. Oh yeah, and if you hadn’t guessed by now, this is what I envision MATA NUI to look like. After all, if MAKUTA is a MATORAN, his brother probably is too, and it’s the only good excuse for the fact that a nice chrome-silver HAU was officially produced while the rest of the gold and silver KANOHI were only produced in tinted plastic that doesn’t look very metallic.

To build him, give MATORO a pair of white KOHRAK VA feet and the special chrome-silver HAU from the CD-pack. I suppose if you can actually get your hands on a solid gold HAU you could build him with that…but I think the gold color might be too overstated with an all-white body, while the silver one is a nice complement to it.
